Cristina Neves

Cristina Neves is an experimental fashion designer with a special interest in Japanese-inspired artisanal lines.
From an early age, she perceived fashion not just as clothing, but as a language: a way of communicating identity, culture and a vision of the future.
She develops a collection of Kimonos based on “slow fashion” movement, focusing on deadstock fabrics – promoting sustainability, ethical and high-quality unique pieces, valuing the way they are produced and combining tradition with contemporary style.
With a background on visual arts, she sees fashion as artistic, conceptual and aligned with nature forces. Her concept is wearable art with a close relationship between ancient roots, minimalism and innovation. It’s a process that defies the established codes of what body represents. The architectural cuts reveal her vision of volumetry allied to an inherent mysticism, exploring the work between design and art performance.
The avant-garde concept questions how people perceive and wear clothes. A vanguard notion means moving, thinking and creating beyond established social norms.
